Mauser bolt disassembly

I have a 1960s vintage Parker Hale with mauser action, but I am not able to find a reference for the disassembly of it's bolt. There are numerous sources on line for disassembling the 96 and 98 model bolts with the three position safety, but mine has the two position safety. I believe this may be one of Parker Hale's sporter modifications, but I am not certain. If anyone is familiar with this particular type of mauser bolt I would appreciate some info on disassembly.

Remove the bolt

Hold the bolt body in a vise with the cocking piece facing up

Have a small coin at hand... pull the cocking piece straight back with pliers and while it is back insert the small coin between the rear of the bolt shroud and an edge of the cocking piece, ease the cocking piece forward until it 'grabs' the coin

Now you can unscrew the firing pin assembly from the bolt body

If you can't figure the rest out you shouldn't be doing it... :)
 
Guntech, Thing is, I have disassembled Mauser bolts before, but not this particular design. I just got the gun in the last little while and when I went to strip it for a good cleaning I didn't recognize the configuration. I did pull the cocking piece back, at which point I thought the safety would hold it in place, but it does not move at all when out of the gun. It's hard to visualize the internals until I see the internals. Are there a lot of these 'two' position safeties out there?
 
No vise or pliers required. I just caught the cocking lug on the edge of the wood work bench, pulled it back and slipped the coin in, and then unscrewed the assembly. Pushing the pin itself into a hole in a block of wood allowed the release of the pin assembly. Nice. Thanks very much. I still say the two position safety is unusual...
 
i have a 98 that was modded - the 2 position was quite common when the thing was d&t for a scope- if you used the 3 position, the "wing" would hit the scope in the centre position- with mine, you pulled the cocking piece back enough to clear the collar and then held it back while you unscrewed the body
 
My 1600 action Husqvarna has a small hole in the cocking piece that allows a nail or whatever to be inserted to hold it back so that the firing pin assembly can be unscrewed from the bolt body.
