Mauser bolt safety switch -need info

Recently got a Spanish FR8. The other day I was messing around with the bolt, and I can't remember if the safety switch on the back went to 9,12, and 3 o'clock, I thought it only went 12 and 9. Did I do something wrong upon reassembly? If not can anyone advise what all three settings are?

9 12 and 3 is correct!

The full right position (3 o'clock) locks the bolt and trigger, the middle position (12 o'clock) locks the trigger but not the bolt and this position is recommended for safe loading of the weapon. The full left position (9 o'clock) unlocks the bolt and the trigger and you can fire the weapon and work the action. Hope that helps.

Also the position to set when removing the bolt from the rifle, for purposes of stripping the bolt itself. ......
