Mauser Broomhandle Import

By far, most broomhandle Mausers were made after the "antique" cutoff date. But there are a few pre-1898 guns out there. You should be able to date the gun, but if you have trouble I'm sure there are some of us here who can help. Finding one of the really early guns would be really, really nice. Mine is a 1917 "Red Nine", interesting, but no antique.

A Broomhandle coming into Canada is considered a restricted firearm. If you can prove to the RCMP that it dates before January 1st, 1898, then they will remove it from the restricted classification. Serial numbers up to 12199 would be considered for antique status, which cover mainly the Conehammer models.

Cheers,

Bill
