What I believe I have is a Spanish Mauser 1916. I bought earlier today minus the bolt. It obviously takes a different bolt than the k98, has a rib on the left side where your left bolt lug slides. I believe it has the proper crest for the 1916. Everything I can find says originally 7 Mauser and later converted to 308. The left side is stamped 7.52 not 7.62. The features I found different are in the pictures. Front site and rear swivel bracket match pictures I found. I know the Spanish had a slightly different round similar to 7.62x51(308). I bought it cheap because of no bolt. Guess I’ll be looking for the proper bolt. Any farther information would be appreciated.

Did a little more searching on goggle. Found out the 6 in the caliber stamp is normally struck poorly and looks like a 5. Also found out that they c-ock on opening instead of on closing like other Mausers.
