Had this rifle for a while, but never noticed these markings because they were under the wood. Does anyone know what these markings are? If it helps, I took some extra photos of other markings that are on the exposed metal. The stock is an older style laminate with flat (non-cupped) buttplate. Any help would be much appreciated.

the crazy markings in the first pic are Chinese or indian?. I wonder if after the war it wasn't supplied to china or india for war aid or something.?

They are reffered to as lucky charms, and are process marks from the machining of the receiver. Seen on bnz rifles with radom supplied receivers.

The barrel was made by a contractor. Hence the extra serial number. Quite common on k98s.

The double diamond I have seen on a u boat cannon shell headstamp before. Forgot the factory name for it...

The extra numbers/letters on the barrel are actually the lot number, year of manufacture, and blank supplier. Dohlen I think was the blank supplier in this case.

Blind guess alert: The style of swastika reminds me of the type the Finns (Finland) used during the war. I'm also gonna guess that those anchor like symbols represent issue to Finnish Navy/marines in WW2 (who were allied to Germany)

the only symbol I could find that has any real meaning is this one: its a polish mark. the others prob all came later.

Thanks guys! That's a lot of interesting information. Too bad it is difficult to pin down what all of these stand for.
