Mauser LR synthetic stock,wood grain

Hi Ted I was just at the Hoosier site and this is what i get

NO EXPORT SALES. Too many lost packages, claims.and problems with Customs.

Does this apply to
Canada I'm assuming it does:(

Save up a few more $$ and get a quality stock....assuming you don't mind spending the money. Options like the High Tech Specialties ($275)are pretty good if you can handle installation of a recoil pad, bedding and custom paint. Very light and strong.

Bell and Carlson are probably the lowest range I would recommend. McMillan are very nice but $$$. In the end you get what you pay for. You could try Ian Robertson in Ontario to see if he has any stocks on hand....

You know, I haven't sold one wood grain finish to date! Most guys who want the real deal, get the real deal.

I know McMillan offered it at one time. I know Jiminthecorner wanted the wood grain look...... Some of the wood thats out there is so butt ugly that I'm sure there are guys out there who can duplicate that look with a few paint brushes.:D

Personally, I know looks are important, but a person should really try to get something that is going to work well over time...and some of these low cost stocks just don't cut it. The old saying....you can put lipstick on a pig, but at the end of the day its still a pig:eek: ..................applies...

Jim, you might have a look at a laminated wood stock. They can look like wood, 'cause thay are wood; but, it's made of layers of wood and glue so it's almost as stabe as a good sythetic stock.
