Does anybody have a source for mauser parts here in Canada? I don't see what I need on any of the sponsors links. I need bolt parts for a large ring , k98 type action. (wing safety for sure , possibly bolt sleeve and / or sear as well.) The safety won't budge from the fire position while in the gun.
I can remove the bolt from the gun. Pull back on the cocking piece , and move the safety back to the straight up position , then reinstall the bolt into the rifle. The safety then functions if moved to the right hand , (full safe) position and locks the bolt closed. I can move it back to the straight up position , and it functions normally , bolt is unlocked but gun will not fire. But as soon as the safety is moved back to the left position (the fire position) it becomes stuck there again. So in other words , all is normal until it is put in the fire position , and then the safety is stuck there again.
I have disassembled and cleaned it well . Added a drop of oil , still the same.
I see a few parts on some sites , but they all seem to be out of stock on the safety levers.

I am hoping the standard k98 parts will fit , if I can find them. This is for a 8mm, large ring , Turkish , K Kale m38 gun.
Any advice , or obtainable parts location would be appreciated .

Sounds like a safety to cocking piece engagement surface issue. Possibly not enough bevel on the safety where it ramps the cocking piece back. Could also be a sear engagement surface issue on the cocking piece allowing it to go too far forward for the safety to engage. Check those two areas.

You could try Epps for parts. Maybe Tradeex. Put up an add on the EE.

I emailed the gunsmith at Epps. I was afraid if I just called there , I'd get a less knowledgeable response.
Why don't one of you GNers have a pail full of parts? LOL , I'm gonna start buying random parts at gun shows and start my own pail !

OP, before you start replacing a bunch of parts on that Turk Mauser you may want to get one of the folks like jbmauser to have a look at some pics and help you to evaluate whether the rifle is worth fixing. Some of those rifles can be pretty bad and their only real value is as a donor for parts.

The Turkish mausers are for the most part their own entity/odd non-standard size................many models and ring sizes as well a floorplate hole distances............Harold
