Mauser Price Check

My grandson has recently purchased a Mauser rifle. From the crest on the receiver ring, it is identified as a M1944 Spanish Air Force rifle. It is in very good condition, no rust, matching rec, bolt and barrel. The bottom metal has been removed and replaced with a stamped one. Other than that, the rifle appears original.

I have not been able top find out much about these after searching on CGN and other sites. Would some of you Mauser experts please comment on the rarity and value range of the described rifle.

Its hard to get more than $300 for a nice one so I would guess less than that.
