Mauser scope bases

Just wondering if these are commonly available in retail stores. Am in SW Ontario,
need to pick up a set to mount some rings for a scope on my Mauser 33/40 .257 Roberts,
does anyone know a good place to buy them, and roughly what they'll run me?

Weaver bases are available pretty much anywhere for cheap. Depends what style you want.
Did you ever get a peep sight?

Most Mauser 98 use weaver 45/46 bases. You can get both with screws for 9$.

Sweedish 96 uses 55/46 bases

Check this site ..http://benchrest.com/showthread.php?66165-large-or-small-ring-Mausers .. message 8 ... it is a pretty good summary of the Mauser actions you will run into... your G33/40 is a "small ring" 98 action and you will want bases that fit accordingly....

Also depends on whether the charger bridge is still there. Warne make nice steel bases for unaltered 96/98 actions.
