Mauser trigger Guards

Does anyone know if the Mauser trigger guard always had a captive screw setup at the rear of the trigger guard as well as the front of the floor plate ?

Thanks for that, a recent acquisition has me scratching my head.
Its a Mauser action in what appears to be a custom made hand carved stock chambered in 8mm/06.
There are no markings with respect to who built it and judging by the metal work, bluing, and wood work, the builder obviously knew his way around rifles. He did however retain the captive screws at either end of the floorplate / trigger guard, usually not done on a custom build.
