Hey guys,

I purchased what was advertised as a gew98 triggergaurd for my k98. When I tried to install it on my rifle the holes lined up with the receiver but the trigger slot is cut in a slightly different location..on further inspection it seems the triggergaurd may actually be for a swedish mauser.. not sure...but this one has capture screws and imperial german markings. Does anyone know what I have here??

Looks like a Kar98 AZ trigger guard to me. Only a few parts are interchangeable with the Gew 98 (trigger guard screws, bolt, recoil lug) and the rest are unique to the AZ.
