Mauser Type 85?

The C3 is supposedly made up on a "Mauser type 85 action" but I can't find any information on it. How does it compare to the 98?

Its a Parker Hale. Commercial 98 type action.

Basically, although more akin to an FN commercial. PH used sporting style Spanish made 98 based actions in their rifles. Uses a detachable mag. system. PH also made an improved action using a more substantial receiver; I believe that this was installed when the C3s were rebuilt into C3A1s. Have to dig out my copy of Clive Law's "Without Warning" to check. I put together a sort of C3 clone using a brand new original stock, PH action, and a brand new Schultz and Larsen 7.62mm target barrel made for the 98 action. A perfectly usable rifle, but nothing out of the ordinary. These are older technology, of course, and are being replaced with PGW's rifle.
