Prohibited due to its barrel length to start with. If you don't have the permit, you can't get it. However, Mauser made all kinds of copies of American firearms after W.W. II. Usually high quality stuff. I think they've discontinued all of 'em though. There's no mention of any of 'em being available on-line.
