I'm heading up to Saskatoon in a week and i was hoping to get a bit of personal christmas shopping done. Anybody seen any Mausers (k98, Gew 98) or Steyr mannlichers in any of the local gun shops? Any info is greatly appreciated

The pre-war Mausers have a superb fit and finish, using all milled steel parts.

This 1936 German survived the war in good shape. The bore is pristine. It was re-furbed after the war, but I don't think it was polished - or if it was, it was a very light polish because all the stamps are still clear. Bluing is better than many new commercial rifles. So far as I can see, all the numbers match, except for the replacement stock.

This one is available....

Stoon gunsmith shop is your best bet.
