Maverick 88 Troubles

Here I am fixing my brothers Maverick 88(trying to anyway) and I notice that the problem is that sometimes when the trigger is pulled the hammer drops and sticks on the half-####. Can anyone give me some recomendations on why this happens and what I can do to fix it.

hard to say without seeing it. Sounds like your disconnector is having issues and engaging early. There should be an online parts schematic. Check that against the trigger group and ensure all parts and pieces are there.

Before you spend any money on this thing, think about 870 Remington REAL HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my Mossberg 500's! I beleive the 88 is the same design.

Don't know what the problem is but I wanted to counter the 870 plug.
