Maverick 88 vs Rifled Slugs

Hello Tucson - can I ask where you got the side saddle to fit your Mossberg 88? I have one also and use it primarily on my ATV here in SE BC/Kootenay Lake region. I have seen many posts on this but after so much reading I'm starting to forget where I have seen things! This is a dandy little shotgun and with sept 01 coming soon I only carry slugs and bangers on the FSR's that have restricted MV access. Local CO's OK with this and they just are making sure you are not really hunting. I also found that maybe this shotgun is a bit too light for 3 inch slugs? Really gives a vicious kick with the pistol grip so switched back to 2 3/4 slugs and 00.

I put the pistol grip on mine and almost broke my wrist, back on with the stock.lol These things kick hard.

enfield p - I shot a bunch of regular light target loads off with the stock attached first as per suggestion from the shop where I bought it. Then I put the pistol grip on and tried some 3 inch slugs and I was amazed at the kick. I almost injured my wrist and the joint near my forefinger. Next day I was golfing and hit a 7 iron a bit fat and almost yelped with pain! Lesson learned. But for bushpacking/ATVing it is still 27 1/2 in. and so for now I will take portability over kick.

Hey Tucson that was cool and is exactly what I did a couple of times after a long quad ride way off in the boonies this Summer - blow off a few rounds with that amazing little shotgun - the Leaf Lickers/Granola Munchers/Tree Huggers out here will never understand how much fun shooting is. The wife has an AR-7 .22 and she likes to blaze away too (lot quieter though!)
Took a friend to the bush a long time ago and he wanted to have the pistol grip on it. So I put it on for him and he began to shoot it like the guy in the video.
I told him not to hold a pistol grip that way. He bagan to tell me how much firearm experience he had and told me to quit being a "Nag".
He wanted to shoot 00B out of it, so he loaded it up and the recoil knocked out his two front teeth.

Well the guy in the video is ME...
And if youre too much of a wuss to shoot it like that then start a stamp collection...
