Maverick 88 Weaver Rails

Is it possible to get weaver rails for my Mossberg Maverick 88 so I can mount a Red Dot on top of my shotgun?

If this does exist can someone point me in the right direction.

Yup get a mesa tactical picatinny rail, it also works with weaver designed products. $35.

mavericks are not drilled & tapped, Only m500s

Ya I just noticed that when I took a look at it might have to get something to go over the barrel or something or get a gunsmith to drill it for me

B-square makes a mount that will work, it's held on by replacing the two actions pins with bolts and is a u shape afair. P & D has them, give them a call!

x2 - I have this on my Maverick. Works well, looks ok.

The recievers on the Mavericks are aluminum and very thin. I wouldn't recommend drilling and tapping it. You might only get 1 or 2 threads to hold your rail. I would get the B-square mount. I have them on my Mav88's as well.

Why not try this?

S&J MESA Tactical 20" long rail. Ya I know its meant for a remington but it works fine.
Did the drilling and tapping myself. I found that there was lots of meat for the screws to grab onto.
