Ive been bored with my shotgun so i decieded to give her a new paint job, I used krylon khaki camo spray paint, as well as I put on a kick ass skull decal from some auto store.

Anybody have any options for a better sight? All it has is that little gold dot sight.

Is that the maverick 88 security ?

how has it functioned, any problems ?

there are screw in fiber optic front sights you can buy from bass pro for like $15

Yeah its the security model, no problems at all so far, I wished Id gotten the 590 but it was my first ever gun, so I had no clue, plus at 300$ cant go wrong.

The reciever and trigger system isnt as sturdy as the 500, but again, everytime I pull the trigger the shell goes off so nothing worth complaining about .

Funny story, I got one of those sights, but didnt check if it was flush on the inside of the barrel and I guess I shot a slug out and messed the sight up, I might get a new one but grind it down.

Honestly that gun retails for $190 from SIR.

BUT

This gun may be the best shotgun you ever own & maybe you will never need another security shotgun. just because something costs less does not make it worth less.

Nice paintwork shotzee ... I got myself a Mossberg Maverick 88 that I use to shooooosst geese and ptarmigan up here ... I too painted it ... actually I had it painted by a board member ... let's just say that my paintjob was twice what I paid for the shotgun but I'm beyond happy as it was sandblasted, parked and painted ... it's a new gun after about 10 yrs of abuse and functions flawlessly! :D;)

How would a guy mount a flashlight onto it, I think the best option is to have an attachment off the mag tube, but Id rather not have an el cheapo ATI metal clamp that might just scrap up my finish. Whats another option available in canada?

I already have a pelican M6 flashlight, just need a way to duct tape it on.
 
I put a side shell holder from tacstar on the reciever, I really like it, I can now hold 9 extra shells, or 15 in total, not bad, once my mag mount for my flashlight comes in ill be rdy for the zed's.
