Anybody got the one that Daves is selling? How is it? Well built? I wanted to put both and AR in it and a 14 inch shottie will the fit be ok if the AR has an optic on it? AR is 10.5 incher. THanks for any feedback. The maxpedition website is way out of date.

It should fit a scoped AR. Here are a couple of pics of my maxpedition with some stuff piled on top of them for reference. The rifle has a 16" barrel and a 4 position mil-spec tube.
The newer cases that Dave's has are a couple of inches longer than the older one that I have.

You probably could stuff a short shotgun into it as well. I've crammed a couple of rifles into mine, but I did have to break them down a bit to make them fit.
It's pretty well built. I beat the snot out of mine by jamming as much junk into it as I can when I head out and it has held up remarkably well. Sparrow had one come apart on him, but Dave's and Maxpedition stood behind it and replaced it.
It has large zippers on it that can be locked together. I drilled through the plastic protective coverings on the ones on mine to enable me to lock it up a bit easier.
You can't really go too far wrong with these cases.

It's some cheapo Knight's knockoff. That upper is used as a dedicated .22 upper only. The barrel extention got buggered up from a KB and would not allow .223 to feed or eject properly. It works just fine with a Colt .22 kit bypassing the chamber though. I also crimped off the gas tube on it to prevent any gas from being spat back.
