Maybe a dumb question but......barrel length question.

Is it legal to add a 12.5" Grizzly barrel to an older Wingmaster?
Reason I ask is the Wingmaster was never manufactured with a 12.5" barrel.
Isn't it how the firearm left the factory not just the barrel only?
Our laws are very confusing.

I believe the law is geared towards any factory BARREL, ie. You can't go chopping a 28" down to a 12.5". That being said I'm not entirely sure on that, but I know you're good to install the 12.5" barrel.
I'm sure someone else will chime in and confirm that.

You can't cut the original barrel to that length without creating a prohibited firearm - but you can install a barrel made that length.

OAL applies does it not (26")? Factory length barrels or not, if you put pistol grips on, your overall length has to be 26" or it's restricted I believe. Example: 12 inch barrel/s and a pistol grip is too short to be non-restricted.
