A buddy of mine who loves to kayak signed up for the Yukon River Quest race. There are different canoe and kayak catagories and the race is from Whitehorse to Dawson. Over 700 km in just a few days. It looks like a lot of work, but what an adventure. My buddy Benj is in the number 2 kayak under the name PaddleMan and he can be tracked on their website. Benj and his kayak/adventure buddy (KayakMan #4 in the race)did a 600+ km trip last summer from the north end of Lake Winnipeg here in Manitoba to Hudson Bay, an old fur trade route.
