MC-5D value?

Good morning,

I am looking at a Norinco MC-5D in excellent condition with less than a hundred rounds though it. Excellent bore and only very small handling marks. Comes with a five round mag and cleaning kit.

What would be a fair price given today’s market?

While the mc-5d has the detachable magazine feature, those rifles only function correctly with the short mags they come with.
This makes them less desirable as a "D" model that will accept and function with all of the AK mags, including drums.
Interested to hear what others think but I'm pretty sure my price evaluation is in the ballpark.
 
MC-5D is a much less common factory sporter version of the SKS with a stock to suit and detachable mag. Acknowledged that the lever style mag catch of a "D" is better, though that does not really take away from it as a sporter, especially in Canada. I would put their value above the more common SKS. Close in price to a SKS-D due to function, unique style and that they are somewhat of a rarity. I don't really want to speak to it's specific value because it all depends on who want$ is the mo$t though I strongly suspect one would sell in minutes on the EE if listed at the price above.
 
Good to know. It is definitely more of a collector item than a shooter. Its in good shape though so I'll have to see what they want for it.
