mc millan stock

You can order straight from McMillan as well too. I ordered a prone stock about 3 years ago and I just ordered it straight from them. No problem getting here!!! But you might want to try a local Canadian stock maker as well.;)

Why not try shop Canadian and try a Robertson Composite stock. Bits of Pieces who is also on line here has carried McMillan stocks before.

I ordered an A-5 directly from McMillan just with a phone call and the service was outstanding.I couldn't be happier with the stock and the stock is made to your preference. I know Robertson is a Cdn company and I have used a rifle with their stock and was much happier with my A-5, just my preference of course.

Robertson doesn't quite have the "tactical" style selection that McMillan does but I built a Sako on one for a customer and It's every bit if not better finished than the McMillan. Not one mold seam! I wound up painting it for the customer anyway, but it was a solid stock. I would like to see a better selection myself for sniper type rifles. McMillan quote 4-5 months. Robertson is a lot faster.

Here's a pic of the two side by side, Mine is the Mcmillan A-5. The Robertson is a Master Class pro....proudly owned by my wife, the gorgeous blue one. Both great stocks with different feel. The pistol grip area on the Robertson has an increadable feel to it, your hand just molds to your rifle. My wife loves it and it is just as functional and adjustable as the Mcmillan. I am to adapted to the Mcmillan style stock to change up myself, personal preference. But Ian's is outstanding also. I could strongly recomend either. Ian is also Producing the stock for the Dakota Scimitar Tactical rifle I believe and I have heard it is simply outstanding. Don't think for a second the U.S. products are the best, they are just the best known.:D

*** in calgary will import them for you also

Yes, the ''banned member from Cowtown'' has direct connections w/McMillan Bros company. Probably he can get you one faster than others.

+1 on Steve David. Getting things over the line is a pain in the A@!. I would rather have someone else look after all the BS and know it will get here rather than me doing battle trying to import stuff. "HWSNBN" imports them on a regular basis and usually has several sitting around for builds when ever I stop by.

There was no problem when I order it from McMillan. They have the NAFTA agrrement where its no problem getting it over. And besides the duty charge. Everything else goes through pretty smooth.

Syxx15,

A stock is a "controlled good" and requires and export permit. You must have bought that stock a while ago. These are US rules that all manufacturers are fully aware of and must follow or they will loose all export rights.

It is best to go through a Canadian dealer, I would contact HWNBN, he is the best to deal with.

I would really appreciate that! Thanks a ton! The only thing, though, is that I may be doing my SQ and BIQ next summer, so I might be gone from 1st of July until September. Let me know when you're planning on coming down!
