Mcmillan stock on M14s

Had a Mcmillan on my M1A 20 years ago.... Does that count? No doubt the Mcmillan stocks WILL fit a Norc receiver! It's just a matter of.... why? Now if you rebarrel with a stainless NM profiled match barrel, that's a different story.
