Been looking at these for quite some time, think I am almost ready to order either a McMillan Hunter or Remington Hunter. Question how do you guys like your stock and how did you guys choose your colour. I am thinking a 2-tone speckles pattern. However I can't figure out a colour. At first I thought Black w/ Grey and white, then Tan w/ Brown and Black, then Olive with Black and white....... Any suggestions, ideas.... etc.... Looking to throw this on a stainless steel action

I went with a three color combination.

With the painted versions I almost always go gray - once in awhile plain old black. With the swirlys - the options are limitless.

McMillan no longer ships direct, they must be imported. IF you are still interested when you understand that the minimum a new McMillan will cost you once shipping, GST/HST etc is applied is about $825 Canadian. If you want an Edge add $100.
That's a thank you to our meager market, the desperately paranoid US government, our dollar tanking and McMillan having more work than they can handle.

Bighorn sales is importing them and they have the best prices and are very straight forward to deal with.

What size barrel are you putting in to it? The only difference is the width of the fore arm on those two.

I like molded in colors the best and you can go wild or mild. GAP camo is one of my favorites.

Swirly or Camo pattern are the way to go. Never have to worry about scratches or paint flaking off.

My most recent one was $160 for importing on top of the full cost. $128 for Corlaines and about $30-$35 shipping from them to me. I think in total it was about $850.

It will be my last.

Honestly though, is there a difference in say a bell and Carlson or HS precision for half the price? I actually want to know. I have had choate, bell, hs, (even had an AI chassis) what are the benefits in paying 2x more then a comparable stock?

Yes, weight and options.
800+ bucks is pretty hard to swallow.

For the vast majority nobody will shoot better using a McMillan vs a B&C. If u are really worried about weight go on a diet and loose 10 pounds. Coopers wear B&C....ever see how they shoot?

Cheers!!
