what is the cost of a new M40 camo McMillian fiberglass stock? Are they still hard to order with long wait times?

McMillan stocks are very easy to order. My last stock from them took about 12 weeks, that was in 2020.

The McMillan's sold out and they seem to be dropping products.

Check with Hirsch Precision in Nova Scotia, they had a USMC M40 Mc Millan in stock last week. Not sure if it was/is camo though.

If you like the basic style of the A1 stock, but aren’t stricken with OCD like myself order the General Purpose stock, in whatever camo you prefer,

If you want one for a closer to spec build, McM makes a “spec” version of the GP,

Smooth finish with no texture panels on the grip or fore end,
Wichita sling swivels
Brown Pachmeyer presentation pad
Inlet for modified M70 floor plate
Forest camouflage
Inlet for correct profile barrel
Solid fill

On mine the camo pattern was done with a little more care closer to the 1990’s patterns ( not a 1970’s smear either ) and not the blobby jersey cow style they use otherwise.

In the past I’ve ordered direct, wait times were about 4-6 months.

If your talking a M40A1 or HTG style stock its about 800 USD, plus taxes and shipping and months of lead time. I wanted one myself, but those prices are crazy after the exchange rate.

I looked at buying 1 direct but by the time you figure out taxes, shipping and the exchange rate it was about $1400. I found a good used one on the EE here for around $900
