MDR prohibited?

Might be a good thing. From all the initial testing I’ve seen on YT ( Garand Thumb), the rifle does nothing really well, for a lot of money.

Maybe the future V2.0 might be better if it isn’t prohib.

The horse cops prohibiting us from owning any gun that should meet NR guidelines, regardless of how crappy the gun is, is never a good thing...

It's likely due to the fact there is a select fire version of the rifle and the parts probably transfer with ease, but who really knows, the RCMP lab is not required to prove their findings to any sort of regulatory board or commission

All is not over, I suspect changes will be made and another sample submitted

Lol, it was nice of them to do an 18.5 for us but I doubt we're a big enough market for them to care about making changes so we can have them. They have enough problems to work on for now anyway. A new fire control group for us is probably not even a consideration right now.

So Im guessing that includes the Canadian 18.5 version that was supposed to come that CSC took pre orders on?

Guess Im getting my deposit back.

FFS this sucks

Yup was on the fence of cancelling the preorder given the bad reviews and now the decision to cancel will be easy.

Unfortunately, the road is much more uphill now.

as even another sample could be considered a variant? whatever that definition is.

Disappointing for sure.

I hope DT works the bugs out, and resubmits or appeals.

Variants clause has no bearing on classification unless an earlier model is deemed prohibited or restricted by name. If not named, normal classification procedures are followed no matter how many failed samples were submited prior.
