Hey guys, I'm looking to add another bipod to my kit. I have narrowed it down to these two choices(already have an Atlas & Harris). What do you think of these? Anyone have both to compare? Preferences? Pros & Cons of each? Thanks.

I don't own a Cadex Falcon Lite bipod, but I do own a Ckye-Pod as well as some others (LRA F-class, a few Atlas's and a few Harris').

From what I can tell from the design of the Cadex, I would pick the Ckye-pod over it for field use. It's more feature rich. The cant adjustment of the Cadex is identical to the LRA F-Class bipod I have. It's okay for bench work or prone when you have time to set the rifle up, but if you are on the clock, the cant design of the Ckye-pod is superior. The width/stance of the Cadex is not adjustable like the Ckye-pod. Not sure how the pan feature on the Cadex works, but it utilizes a lever, so I'm wondering if its similar to the cant adjustment. If so, then could be annoying to utilize on the clock. The Ckye-pods cant and pan features don't use any levers or other mechanisms to engage/disengage, and tension is set once with an allen screw. Besides that, there's a lot more versatility/range in the adjustments on the Ckye-pod, which comes in handy if shooting in a variety of field terrain. And there's a bonus barricade stop built in with the Ckye-pod.

The Cadex seems like a LRA and a Atlas had a baby. Build quality seems nice, not surprising as its a Cadex product. But it doesn't offer a lot of features for the price.

Thank you very much for your input sir.

One thing I worry about with the Cyke Pod is the same problem I have with my Atlas. Can the cant and pan be completely locked out still? Because I find it very annoying that they can't be locked out on my Atlas. Sometimes(especially when shooting off a bench) I like the ability to lock out at least the pan as it moves after every shot theoretically hurting consistency and forcing you to constantly re-adjust.

No experience with the Cadex unfortunately, but I have two MDT CYKE Pods and I love them. I attempt to shoot PRS (let's be real here lol.) And they are so quick and easy to make adjustment too when running a stage. I love the ability to drop down real low and wide or have it almost set up for kneeling which is awesome. Plus the ability to adjust it and set it up how you need is where it really shines.

Not to my knowledge. You could tighten it up with a lot of tension I would imagine with the allen key, but that would be annoying to have to do that.

If you want to go that route, another option to look at is the TBAC bipod.

The Ckye-Pod is currently the gold standard for actual field shooting. It's crazy just how versatile it is. You can go from super low to really high, pretty much seated. I've been running one this year for team field matches and PRS/NRL matches and I'd definitely push you that way if that's the kind of shooting you're looking to do (vs say ELR or mostly prone shooting).

I have been running the Falcon light for the past year and love how stable it is. The cyke pod was designed to for competition and field shooting shooting in mind, and from my understanding it dose a very good job of this.
I have been mostly using my falcon for PRS shooting and love it. It is fast to deploy and is amazing for prone shooting, I have never shoot off a more solid bipod. You can lock out The pan by changing out to small inserts and easily lock down the cant. I have shot the standard falcon with my 375 cheytac with no cant movement from the torque. Cadex is coming out with a new generation of the falcon and falcon light that will have a single pivot point similar to a Harris but still allowing for panning. Here is a sneak peak of the falcon light SB. These and the standard falcon are in productions now and will be available to order from your local dealer or off our website. 20191004_130046[1].jpg20191004_130019[1].jpg
