Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the new MDT GRND Pod?
There are maybe 2 or 3 short YouTube videos out about it.

Looks like a good option for the price point.

Just got my Grd Pod in the mail today and I’m impressed with the product, quality and ability to adjust to a myriad of positions. Great product from a B.C. company. Got mine in a few days from Cabela’s. Ordered the Arca Rail from MDT so all good, installed on my rifle and good to shoot some precision .22.

I picked one up as well.
Have only used it on the bench but so far it feels sold.
After my next match I’ll give another update.

The little knob used to clamp it onto the rail could be improved but it does the job.

Shot a match today with mine. I liked it a lot. Lmk if you have specific questions. (Mines the Arca version).

Worked well in my match, stable and no issues so far.
Still don’t like the small knob used to tighten it on the arca rail

Opinion is dampened a bit.

Switched out my MDT XRS for a MPA Hybrid with Chassis RAT(arca rail) and Arca/Pic spigot.
Original pod didn’t fit the chassis or the spigot. Replacement fits spigot but not the chassis rail.

Warranty was awesome to deal with. But a bit downed by the bipod. Will order a Area 419 rail and see how it goes.

After using the GRDPOD for a few months along with a bunch of guys in our PRS league, is to take your Allen keys with and be sure to tighten up the GRDPOD every so often. A few of the guys have lost the screws and springs but have been fortunate to find them on the ground and re-tighten. Otherwise I really like it, easy switch for 3 of my rifle with ARCA rails.

I suggest replace the rubber feet of it with the spike feet. I did that with the Atlas spike feet. It has much better grips on all sorts of ground now.

My buddy got one that I've used a few times. Not a big fan of all the plastic parts on it, but it seems to work as expected. I think you're getting what you pay for but not a penny more. I'll stick with my Atlas.

I agree Atlas is much better than GRND-POD in all aspects, but also it costs almost doubles.
I think MDT has a weird marketing strategy. Their Ckye-Pod is literally 800-1000 range, and all of sudden the Grnd-Pod drops to 240 range. With that gap I would rather pay 400-500 for a Atlas or a Cadex

I am facing the same issue with my mpa chassis and the grnd pod not fitting. Was yours exchanged under warranty?

I had the same issue of grnd-pod arca version on my mpa hybrid.
The arca clamp cannot grip on the rail. I asked GBT/Tom, where I bought the bipod and chassis from, and was told never heard of this issue.
It seems it’s a common issue. The clamp can lock on Area-419 rail well, and Area-419 clamp can lock on MPA rail well.
I sold the grnd-pod and going for atlas or LRA anyway

I found an ATLAS with arca clamp listed fresh in the EE just after posting this. LNIB Arca grnd pod for sale.

It was but I had the same problem with the replacement. Added an area419 ARCA rail and no more problem.

Fyi the Ckyepods work perfectly.
