I'm curious about this stock. It looks like a simple indestructible solution for a bush rifle. But, I have no experience with AR's, so the whole buffer tube stock end part is a bit mysterious. I would like to be educated on the what's and why's. I researched a bit and see most people are using Magpul CTR and PRS. The PRS is expensive and looks bulky. I like the simplicity of the CTR. Of course, this opinion is based on pictures. I've never seen them in real life.

I have some questions:

1) I think the CTR can slide along the buffer tube allowing the user to adjust the length of pull. If this is indeed true, what would be the maximum and minimum LOP on the LSS-XL?

2)Same question; but for the PRS.

3) The CTR and PRS stocks can have the cheek raised 3/4" over stock (Correct?). I know this is highly subjective, I feel a silly asking, but is it enough for a scope with a 50mm objective on a 20moa base?

Please post pictures and give me opinions on the whole back end builds of this chassis and the pros and cons of each.

I can't comment on the CTR stocks, but I run a Magpul PRS with the MDT adjustable butt plate on my MDT TAC-21 that has a built in 20 MOA tapered top rail.

I use a S&B 5 - 25 X 56mm PM-II with 34mm high rings. I have the cheek rest raised 1/4".
On my rifle the minimum LOP is 10 5/8", and the maximum LOP is 11 3/4"

Thanks for the reply. 11.75" LOP is pretty short?! Isn't the standard 13.5"?

I'm surprised (but happy to learn) that a .75" riser gives enough rise to comfortably look through a 56mm scope.

I hope more people post. I was under the impression the chassis was more popular.

I measured from where the PRS joins the stock cap back to the end of the recoil pad. My PRS also has the optional MDT adjustable butt plate.

If you run a 56mm Obj. scope, you need the cut down MDT fore end. MDT milled off a section of rail to give more objective clearance.

I don't find the riser necessary myself. The stock is from M14.ca and can be cut to whatever length you want. LOP is 13", it was cut when I got it so unsure as to how long it could be.
