I still need to get a front blade sight installed on my 14" barrel to go with the ghost-ring rear sight (the iron sight set-up was originally installed when I had an 18" barrel on this gun). Mind you, the iron sights are pretty much redundant with the Trijicon 'Reflex' ...which is a terrific piece of kit!

Is that a Mesa Tactical LEO?
Straight Stock or do you have the Endine Recoil Reducer installed?
Does it work?

Ever had a chance to compare the two?
Other than price - is one twice as good as another?
Note - I own a spec-ops but have been looking into the Mesa version.
Was in car accident 3 years ago and am trying to figure out how to reduce recoil further.

As a matter of fact, this same shotgun wore a SpecOps (with an 18" barrel) before I swapped it out for the Mesa Tactical stock.

In terms of recoil reduction, I personally found little difference between the two ...they both seem to do the job, albeit in different ways. The SpecOps uses a series of springs in the stock and pistol grip, whereas Mesa Tactical's recoil reduction is accomplished by what is essentially a mini shock absorber (similar to a car's suspension).

The major difference between the two stocks is build quality and materials, which is reflected in their prices. The SpecOps is a great product for its price and delivers recoil reduction 'as promised' ...but if you're looking for something that's more robust, uses a true M4 stock and is slightly less bulky (and you have a few extra pesos kicking around), the Mesa Tactical product is clearly the 'Cadillac' of the two.

The only reason I switched from one to the other was a desire to go 'upscale' ...the SpecOps worked perfectly well (and has since found a good home with a fellow CGN'er).

Terry:

If you will bear with me here, I have a few questions:

How do you find the muzzle flip one compared to the other ?

Was there any perceived loss of preformace going from an 18" to a 14"

now that you have shot several configurations, which do you prefer??

May I ask how many $ you spent just on the adaptor.

regards and all the best
