Me Own a Fancy Gun?

I have been looking for an unported 20 gauge Citori skeet gun for several months with no success at all.I want an unported gun,because I intend to use it for upland game birds.Finally,I located a used one on Gun Broker.The catch was,that it was a Grade VI gun,with fancy wood,engravings,and gold inlays.Everyone that knows me,is aware,that I don't normally own fancy guns.I like high quality,but I won't pay for extra cosmetic frills.I thought about this gun,then considered that the price was considerably less than for a new Grade 1 Citori Skeet,then I had Clay at Prophet River purchase and import the gun for me.It has one surface scratch on the stock,that should be relatively easy to repair,but other than that,it is in excellent shape.Please excuse the poor lighting for the pictures.

And thanks again Clay for doing another import for me.

how hard is it to import a gun ?

I just call Clay at Prophet River,and pay him the fee for importing the gun.He takes care of all of the paperwork,imports the gun,and sends it to your home address.His fee is $200 for most guns.
 
According to the serial number,it was made in 1988,so it is 22 years old.It must have spent a lot of time in someones gun cabinet,because it hasn't seen that much use.

I didn't expect to see you visiting the shotgun forum,I would have figured that shotgun shells were too heavy for you to carry enough of them to fill your daily bag limit.:D

Then again ,you probably have someone else shoot your birds for you.:rolleyes:

I would think a 20 would be too heavy for you to carry.

Id expect a 410 from someone like you, just cause youre an expert at everything.

It is really a shame that you feel compelled to post on this thread,when you have nothing to offer other than a poor attempt at a cheap shot.But then again,that does seem to be the only thing that anyone would ever consider you to be even remotely close to being an expert at.:rolleyes:

If your no expert why comment at all. Maybe you meant he does not deserve the shotgun. Instead of "Unfortunately the shotgun does not deserve you". If you are going to take cheap shots get it right. :)
 
Beautiful wood, beautiful engraving. I especially like the work on the bottom with the gold dog and the scroll extending up and around the receiver. Congrats! Thanks also for the info on importing. I've seen guns south of the border before but always considered it too complicated etc... very good to know that it IS doable if the right gun came along.

Just like you say Clay is the best. When he takes over the entire process is painless and before you know it your package is at your door.
He is importing a couple of old shotgun barrels for me now.
