I think a lot of the answers would be based on what you currently own and why you want to build/not build a rifle in this cal. In my case, I have no need for 22BR (I have a 22LR, 22 Hornet and 223 Rem) but there is no disputing that it is a good cal for certain applications. If you are going to varmint hunt gophers primarily with it, I wouldn't recommend it as a primary shooter unless you got lots of time to reload and are willing to buy a lot of brass/bullets to build a stockpile of ammo; however, if you are going to shoot just the occasional groundhog it may be perfectly fine. If you are shooting BR this is a very good cal and I would definitely select it for that application over a 223 Rem that I currently own. Perhaps a bit more info on what you want to do with it?
