Meade 20x-60x 60mm spotting scope

Ok, I learned my lesson. I picked up this Meade spotting scope for $60 at Costco....came w. aluminum case, cheap tripod, lense caps, and sun shade.
took it to the range...worked great at 100-150 yds, was marginal at 200 yds and just starting to run out of focus adjustment, and at 300 yds useless.
it you want some cheap short range optics, they still have some.
mine is going back.

they now offer a Bushnell Spacemaster 15x-45x x 60 mm, model 78-2317, with soft case, tripod not specified, at costco.ca for $199. i searched the forum and, yes, you get what you pay for, but i also have a budget. this is for range use only, and i want to clearly see bullet placement on paper at 300 yds....Will this
Spacemaster do the job?

I learned my lesson to. Bought a Bushnell Trophy spotting scope being the cheap bastard I am. The eye relief was the ####s, poor field of view etc...actually hurt my eyes to look through it. Ended up selling the piece of crap and bought a Leupold Mark 4 with the Tactical Milling Reticle. Should have done it in the first place, no comparison. We have a Zeiss at work that went tits up and had to be sent to Germany for service. What a pita. I actually prefer my Mark 4 over the Zeiss but thats just my opinion. Pay once and be done with it, especially when it comes to optics.

I bought a Bushnell Spacemaster off Ebay with the 45x eyepiece and I can see .30 cal holes at 300m unless there is a fair amount of mirage.

Steve, .30 cal holes at 300m is the experience I was hoping for.
Mirage affects them all doesn't it?
I'm going to try the Costco.ca Spacemaster , as they give 30 days to return it to my local store. $199 includes UPS ground shipping.
