The funny thing with shotguns, seems like the more you read about them... the more you realize how little you know about what's out there!

I was reading up on the Bretton Bécassier ultra léger, and how the barrels were easy to replace... one of the article had a reference to the Pieper Actionless 47 having a similar feature.

And since the barrels are easy to change...

Some interesting reading (in French)

Pieper tried numerous unique approaches.

I’ve had three boxlocks from them, all of which I quite liked, that had a unique sliding top rib bite. Pushing the top lever over would slide a section of the top rib back towards the action, releasing the barrels to drop.

He was also a founding partner and original managing director of FN. currently the largest sporting arms company in the world.

He also owned a Damascus barrel factory with workers so skilled they could write the name “Pieper” with the Damascus pattern. If you know how Damascus is made, that’s mind blowing.

Weird triggers! Feels like that would take some getting used to.

Cool guns though, never heard of em before. Thanks for sharing.
