I'm planning a project to deactivate an Ishapore FN to visually resemble a Canadian FN C2 as a prop for my M38A1 Jeep. I would like to find a scrap 30rd magazine body, but might have to settle for butt welding two 20rd magazines together for the visual effect. The project will be the resemblance of a C2 made up with Indian, British and Canadian parts, less the heavy barrel and bipod, but that is a smaller problem than the iconic long magazine.

Before someone gets all righteous and 'how dare you?', let me remind you. The latest requirements for deactivation mean the magazine gets welded to the receiver. The lower will be welded to the upper. The barrel welded to the upper and the chamber milled and blocked.

If someone has a poor condition 30rd magazine, I'll take it off your hands as long as you understand its ultimate fate. Otherwise, please measure the length of the front and back surfaces and post here. There are far more 20rd magazines in circulation that two can be donated to the cause without hard feelings.

I donated my C2 Bra and a pinned 5/30 C2 mag to the LdSH(RC) Museum, so, alas, I cannot help. But, next time at the office, I will see if I can find C2 mags on CGCM, and it might have the overall length. You won't need front length, as the bottom angle was same-same C1 or C2 mags.
