Do most of you guys measure case headspace when full-length resizing? There are several case headspace gauges on the market--L.E. Wilson, Hornady, Lyman--to do this. I've always just relied on making sure FL-sized cases would chamber without resistance, but I can see the advantages in regulating the amount of shoulder bump via one of these gauges and then adjusting the FL die to bump the shoulder the minimum amount needed.

For those who've used a gauge, what are your recommendations regarding those available?

I use the Hornady one. I found out i was way over sizing brass. I aim for .002 or less now. Was over .20 before with full sizing.

I like my foster datum set , i use it to measure the case at the shoulder and the bullet at ojive
Way over priced for what they are though , a drill press' and the right size hole in a block ( for each cartridge and bullet ) can be measured just as easy

There's about 4-6 sizes I use from the foster set ,, each is good for a few calibers, Bullets

I think it's Sinclair that makes the block I seen advertized, couldn't get it to Canada though
