I'd been toying with getting into shotshell reloading for clays, so when I had the chance to get a MEC 700 for free, I jumped at it, despite knowing nothing at all about this machine and having zero reloading experience. But, from what I've read so far, the MEC 700's seem to be reliable workhorses. This particular machine will need a serious clean & lube before its ready for operation.
Here's my first dumb question: why do you need to change the whole charge bar for different shot volumes, while changing power volumes only requires swapping bushings?
Anybody have any tips for a beginner with a MEC 700?
