I must say, I generally like Mec-Gar mags. I'm not sure if it's because my Sig P229 factory mags are standard 10 round and the Mec-Gar are just pinned to 10, but the Mec-Gar are 100x easier to load.
I was not a fan of the Mec-Gar 8 round mags for 1911 only because they didn't work worth a damn in my Norinco Commander. They won't engage the slide stop and instead the slide stops on the follower which means they won't eject properly and once you pull them out the slide slams shut. For once the stock Norinco mags work better
But generally I like Mec-Gar!
I know more than a few were wishing Mec-Gar made S&W M&P mags (including me).
