I just bought a used MEC JR (not the Mk V) and Im having a problem with it failing to 'eject' resized hulls with the higher brass collar. Basically anything with a collar greater than those found on low powered trap loads gets wedged completely and I need to take pliers to it.

Is this common? What can I do about it?

Try lowering the primer punch lower on the bolt. Sometimes a little longer bolt will help. They are a standard 1/4 x28 hex bolt. Instead of pliers to pull out the shell place the pliers between the bolt head and the cam that pushes the bolt down to eject the case.

I've tried placing something between the bolt head and cam and it doesnt quite work... I also can't take apart the depriming assembly - I've tried a few times but wound up achieving nothing more than leaving tool marks on the chrome cylinder of the assembly.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Check out the MEC website, they have some FAQ's and stuff for self help, but you can always e-mail them and ask if you don't find the answer you're looking for.
