I've got one in 9mm, I use a Norinco np28 for the frame.

What is your opinion of it?
I've been considering a pistol caliber carbine, and having a NP29 already thought that the CCU might be an option.

I had one many years ago. Mine was a 45 ACP. It worked good. Was fairly accurate and was decently constructed, except for the muzzle device, which was garbage.

The newer ones are more modular which is a nice feature. No bolt hold open on last shot annoyed me.

The Mechtech seems to be well made, my only complaint would be that the wire frame stock vibrates with every shot (original design). I see on their website that they have a new stock mounting design, should work better.

Accurate, simple, reliable... on the heavy side.

Shooting it reminds me of the Sterling or Sten...
