Media tumblers

I boughtmy my Lyman 1200 tumbler at LeBaron in the late 80's and it's still working fine. They sure don't build them like that anymore. To increase my volume I did add a Berry's tumbler and a Frankford Arsenal but both crapped out after a couple of years so I'm back to the Lyman. I now use a Lyman wet tumbler for really dirty brass so that should extend the life of the Lyman dry tumbler as I won't be using it as often.

I have two Frankford Arsenal tumblers and a RangeMax, which is identical to the Frankford just a different colour. I use them constantly, 2-3 times a week, for 5-8 hours at a time. Oldest one is about 4 years old. Worst problem I've had is the threaded ready-rod came out of the RangeMax one, had to empty it and re-screw the rod back in with some lock-tite, no problems since. Just gotta make sure you don't overload them, 50 30-06 cases at a time or so, and don't overfill the media. Make sure its churning good when you switch it on and not standing up all the cases in a spinning line. Different types of media have different characteristics to them and can affect the volume of your tumbler. Crushed walnut is heavier so you get less in the tumbler than untreated corn cob. I'm planning on getting a Lyman wet tumbler next time Cabelas has them on sale. I've seen the results guys have posted from wet tumblers, gotta say I like the "shiny on the inside" look.

Haven't tried it yet but mastercraft had a vibration tumbler I bought for cheap I had to Frankford Arsenal platinum the larger one and the motor and belt is slipping so I cannot even use it they'll start and then just start humming no spinning I bought it second hand so I can't complain, can't afford to get a new base either

I've used a Lortone QT12 Rock tumbler for more than 20 yrs.....never even replaced a belt on it. Cleans brass very well with crushed walnut shells

Ditto here. Lortone tumblers work with stainless pins as well. Never an issue, for many years.
