Medicine hat pheasants forever

Here's some big news for pheasant hunters in southern Alberta, the Medicine Hat chapter is going to be releasing 700 hens into the wild, should hopefully bring up the numbers of shootable birds in the area for a few years to come. FS

you know that released birds mortality is close to 100% in the first 90 days or something like that, right?
that's why PF is all about habitat, seems strange that a chapter would be doing this...

PF is doing work in S. Ont too - but they have been using wild birds from out west.
