Nope ....... I put it on a Whelen.

It could have easy been a 9.3 but I had all the loading kit here for the 35 and none for the other.

Big expense with dies, brass and pointy tips, all of which I have plenty on hand. No druthers one way or the other just wanted to keep it cheap.

Everyone has mentioned the scopes that work well with the 300 WSM your getting. I have used this caliber enough times that I don't see the necessity to get a scope that goes beyond 10 power. And a 3-9 x 40 is good for your intended purpose. It's always a good idea to go to a shop and look though various brands and power levels. Something will stand out and that's the one you buy. Better to start at a minimum of $300.00 and go up in price from there.

I have found 2-7 to be excellent. I suppose 3-9 is also good. Never fired a shot at a deer or moose other than on low power. I use the high power setting to zero the rifle. (I confirm zero at low power.)
