Meeting nice people in the Nanaimo Area

Hi!
I am an exchange student from the far and tiny Germany new to Nanaimo. At home, I am an avid shooter and hunter and I experienced, that gun people are always hugely friendly and helpful persons. I would love to get in contact with some locals, but I don't really know how to get in contact.
Is there something like a Nanaimo Shooting Association? I found http://www.nanaimofishandgame.com/. Do you know if it's possible to just visit them?
Maybe any board members are from the area?

I am sorry in advance for any stupid question, I don't really know how things work over here until now.

hey palini if you just want to check them just drop in. if you want to go shooting i have membership and will take take you if you want,only have .22 handgun and rifle.
