How are the membership numbers at your club this year? We are seeing a huge increase for skeet this year, over 30% more shooters , if we had more real estate, we would be looking at running another field. And we are seeing many more younger shooters which is a nice change. I might be able to hand out some more patches this year. :)

It has been a good start for turnout on our trap and skeet fields so far this year. We will get our other skeet field going in the next week or two when the snow melts.

It is my understanding that both of the clubs I belong to in SSW Ontario are gaining members like gangbusters. Safety courses being run pretty much every weekend for new members. I think the outdoor club was around 300 members for a while but I believe we are pushing 400 or so (increase by 25% in a year and change).

Good and bad. Good as more people out shooting. Bad because now range is much busier and harder to get a spot on the rifle range (only 2 lanes for pistol and 6 lanes for rifle). 5-stand and trap also very busy.

Our club gained a lot of members last year and 2019. Not sure about this year so far. Another club I belong to has capped membership and restricts access to members only no walk-ins. Which is really nice.

We were busier in 2020 than 2019, and 2021 has been way up to the point where we beginning to run lower on targets than I'm comfortable with, the spring target order can't show up fast enough in my opinion.

I cannot comment on 2021 as our club is still closed. It will definitely open a few weeks earlier this year but 2020 did not seem any busier than the previous two or three years. We see about the same numbers just the faces tend to change. Since our area is so heavily dependent on the oilfield for work it's only natural that dictates our activity level. In good years we see lots of locals and out of town workers shooting. In years like the past few we see mostly locals and faces that have been consistent as members for years and a few new faces as the work force goes through high and low periods and changes in companies. As for younger shooters we see a few but not many. Overall though we threw more targets last year than the years previous up to 2016 and we weren't even able to hold our annual registered trap shoot. We have it scheduled for May 14-16 this year and our fingers are crossed that SATA and the gubbamint is going to allow it. That 3 day shoot tends to draw anywhere from 30-60 shooters most years which is a nice little bonus for our small out of the way club.
