After bringing our moose to camp for further cleaning and hanging we used to take the rib cages to the firepit for barbecueing.:)
We would smear the ribs in bbq sauce and put them between two oven racks. To make the bbq pit first build up the sides of your firepit with rocks and rest the racks over the fire.
By the time you're done cleaning the moose and getting the blood, guts and hair off, it will be time for your favorite beverage along with some very tasty ribs.
Try it sometime, you will never throw the ribs away again...........

Now this is where some pictures would help. Seriously....
Not that I don't have imagination, but it sounds yummy and I don't want to overlook anything...

Never throw away the ribs! Up in the Yukon it's illegal, but even worse, it's stupid! I think you recipe sounds great. I love moose ribs so much that when I go on my moose hunt with my dad every year I take all the ribs and basically give him everything else. My wife is not a big moose eater, so we don't need all that meat, and this way I basically get a whole moose worth of ribs for myself. They're honestly that good.

I made a tent out of moose ribs (minus the meat) for James once.

INSTRUCTIONS: cover moose ribs with a 4x5 tarp. Insert one scrawny 4 yr old. The End.

Moose ribs in a slow cooker w/ your favourite BBQ sauce. Mmmmm.:)

Plus if you cut them big you can pretend you're Fred Flintstone :D
