Thanks ..great video , Loved to see the FN again and the old Airborne clips...:cool:.....Didnt like seeing the troops marching through the nuclear testing ground though:eek:
 
The C1A1 was the best rifle around. I was told if you feel it kick, imagine what the enemy was getting...:)

Funny how the US is scrambling to get the M14 back in service. 5.56x45 wounds, 7.62x51 kills....

Going to make the kids watch this after school tomorrow..
 
Thanks very much for posting that. My regiment must have been one of the last to relinquish battle dress and puttees, as I wore that uniform for one year along with the "bush" combat dress before going over to greens.

Starched uniforms, bulled boots and brasso.

They would be pioneer platoon....and the CF still have them and the uniforms shown were cerimonial,
The beards are still allowed as far as I know. They are used in the Infantry units as engineers...building or blowing up stuff.
