Meopta Optics

Does anyone know much about Meopta? I was looking for some feed back on Meopta riflescopes. They seem to be a good looking optic.

I have one of their spotting scopes. Excellent optics but final quality control is lacking. I sent the first one I received back due to a piece of lint (bigger than dust) inside. The replacement also had a piece of lint inside, just not as big as the first.
That was disappointing as the scope is otherwise excellent.

Is there a Canadian source that doesn't import them from the USA?

Meopta's been around since the 30's and make Zeiss riflescopes as well from what I've heard. Corlane is bringing in the meopta optic line (rockymountainrifles). Cabela's sells their meostar bino as their "Euro Binocular" and have a video on their website torture testing them. They sound good for the price.
