Meopta scope?

Who here shoots Meopta? I'm about to dump some money, but there isn't too much information on the Meostar here.

I have read that they are just as good, if not better than a Zeiss conquest, and a lot cheaper. Having never looked through one I'd like to know.

I did a search and haven't found what I'm looking for. So does anyone have the goods on this scope?
 
Better than a Zeiss Conquest? Probably. Cheaper? I don't think so.

I have looked at them and they are nice scopes for sure. Any idea where their service center is?
 
No, that was another thing that bothered me. Where do you go in the event something screws up?
 
It's hard to beat Leupold for a hunting scope for that reason. Last I looked, Meoptas were ~$800 for something in the 3-9 range. That's VX3 territory. If you look around, I'm sure there are some vendors with last year's VX III in stock. That is, if you're looking for a hunting scope.
 
I have found a place in the US that is selling them cheap! I've done the leg work and its not an issue bringing it across the line. I think I have found a better deal on the EE pages. Thanks for the response.
